Alex Eherenman

Alex has played the drums professionally for several years under several different genres of music. Although an accomplished jazz and African drummer, Alex has always had to satiate his need to rock, and considers The Impediments the perfect medium through which this can be achieved. Influenced by such drummers as Neil Peart from the rock supergroup Rush, David Garibaldi, Adrian Young, Carter Beauford and Brian Blade, Alex's sound in an interesting mix of constantly evolving styles. His current favorite groups include Guns N' Roses, The Gamits, the Pygmy tribe of the West-African bush, Modest Mouse and The Streets.

Unknown Fact: Alex was once referred to as "Veggie-Boy" by his friend's father, who happens to be an avid hunter. Because of his quasi-vegetarianism, this moniker has (unfortunately) stuck quite well to Alex. The same friend's father once said to Alex, "Hey Veggie Boy, what do you want on your pizza? Veggies?" Needless to say, Alex's vegetarianism never fails to dissappoint his peers or his elders.

Alex is NOT a vegan, dammit.
